When you work with me to buy a home, rest assured that you will have my personal attention
and guidance. I will be readily available and will be with you to guide you through the process
from beginning to end. Please feel free to call me for a no-pressure discussion on the process
of buying a home.
Your Motivation to Buy
When it comes time to buy a home, there's more to it than aspects like cost and location.
Establishing your needs and wants is a crucial step. Here are some common aspects to think
about: Buying for investment reasons, building equity, downsizing to a smaller home, upsizing to
accommodate a growing family, searching for the best school catchment area for your children,
looking for specific neighbourhoods to live in, looking for certain transportation hubs and
entertainment spots in the city, etc.
Costs Associated with the Purchase of a Home
Your new home is an important financial investment. So it's important to know the true cost of
ownership, particularly in terms of property tax, strata fees, tax, insurance and repair and
maintenance.
Loan Prequalification
Do not hesitate to ask for recommendations for mortgage brokers. I will be happy to
recommend a mortgage broker who has successfully closed loans with my buyers. Once
finances, wants and needs are established, then it will be time to search.
Search for the Right Home
As a realtor, I will do my best to find you the home you want and accommodate any of your
preferences. Don't hesitate to tell me the preferences of homes you are looking for and I can
arrange viewings for you.
Offer(s)
Once you have decided on the home you want to buy. I'll help you negotiate the best possible
deal for you and write an offer for it.
Accepted Offer
Once your offer is accepted, I will work on getting the home ready for closing and guide you
through each step of the process including doing a title search, asking for a site survey, hiring a
home inspector, writing a property disclosure statement, finding a lawyer, etc.
